SERVICE REQUESTS FOR BOROUGH TREES

To request tree maintenance, removal, or planting please fill out the SHADE TREE COMMISSION SERVICE REQUEST FILLABLE FORM below. Once your request is received, your application will be evaluated.  When the evaluation is completed; your application for service will be placed on an upcoming Shade Tree Commission meeting agenda.

The Commission, comprised of resident volunteers, receives many requests and makes every attempt to respond, preferably via email, within 45 days.  During this time your patience is very much appreciated.

Once tree work has been approved, the tree will be put on the list and the work will be done as soon as staffing and the budget allows.

Important Information

• Emergencies during regular business hours should be directed via email to the DPW c/o Meghan Culhane at mculhane@maywoodboro.org or 201-845-2900 x600.  For tree maintenance emergencies occurring after regular business hours; please contact the Maywood Police Department non-emergency phone number 201-845-8800.
• Privately hired landscapers and/or contractors are not permitted to perform work on Borough trees.
• Tree plantings typically happen once or twice a year, in the Spring and Fall, budget permitting. Planting requests are accepted and addresses are added to the planting waiting list.
